Two major 30-inch interceptors along with 8-inch and 12-inch
Military Department of Arkansas
Halff is under contract with the Military Department of Arkansas to provide operation and maintenance services for Camp Robinson’s sewer system. Halff also provided engineering services for upgrades and rehabilitation of the wastewater treatment facility and sewer collection system. Collection system rehabilitation included a combination of manhole and sewer main replacement. Improvements consisted of internal lining of two major 30-inch interceptors, along with 8-inch and 12-inch laterals that collect wastewater for the facility.
Ten years after completion of the collection system rehabilitation, Halff was contracted to conduct follow-up flow monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of the improvements. The rehabilitation project achieved a 65% reduction in infiltration and inflow (I&I).
Treatment plant improvements included a new activated-sludge aeration process, clarification facilities, UV disinfection, tertiary filtration, post-aeration facilities, flow measurement systems and a SCADA system for monitoring treatment operations.
